Business Insurance
Steve Chittick places commercial insurance for small and mid-sized Ontario businesses: contractors, manufacturers, professional offices, tech firms and fleets. He works with more than 20 insurers and looks at the business and the owner’s personal insurance together, because that’s where most of the gaps are.
Start with how the business actually runs
A policy is only as good as the description of the business behind it. Before Steve looks at quotes, he wants to know what you do, who does it, where the equipment lives, which vehicles are used for work, who owns the building, and what changed since last year. Most problems at claim time come from something the insurer was never told.
He’ll walk you through the policy line by line, including what it doesn’t cover, give you your options and tell you which one he’d choose. Then he’ll call you before renewal to go through it again.
Business and personal, on the same page
If you own the business, your personal insurance is tied to it whether anyone planned it that way or not: the truck in your name that goes to job sites, the stock in the garage, the building your holding company owns, an umbrella policy that was set up years ago and never updated. Steve looks at both sides so the limits and the named insureds line up.
